SPUTNIX Group (part of AFK Sistema), one of the leading Russian developers and operators of small spacecraft, announces the appointment of Georgy Aleshkin as CEO.

Georgy Aleshkin has over 15 years of experience in the aviation and aerospace industries, combining engineering training with expertise in economics, program management, and high-tech manufacturing development. Over the years, he has participated in projects at the Ural Works of Civil Aviation, Kamov, the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant, and others, progressing from a design engineer to a head of major programs and CEO. In his new position, Georgy Aleshkin will focus on the further development of SPUTNIX Group and strengthening the company's position in the space data and services market.

"In recent years, SPUTNIX Group has come a long way: the company has become one of the technological leaders in Russian private astronautics and has created the largest commercial satellite constellation in the country. We are proud that our satellites are already helping to solve practical business and government tasks by providing essential data from space. At this new stage, we face large-scale tasks: to master promising market niches, make services even more accessible and convenient for customers, and consistently improve our internal processes. I am glad to lead the team during this important period and am confident that our combined experience and accumulated competencies will allow SPUTNIX Group to reach a qualitatively new level," commented Georgy Aleshkin on his appointment.

Today, SPUTNIX Group is one of the recognized leaders in the Russian private space industry. The company operates the country's largest commercial satellite constellation, with over 100 spacecraft launched into orbit. This includes the "Zorkiy-2M" high-resolution Earth remote sensing satellites with a spatial resolution of up to 2.5 meters, as well as dozens of satellites equipped with Automatic Identification System (AIS) receivers, providing 24/7 monitoring of vessel locations in the World Ocean.

The company operates as a full-cycle enterprise — from the design and production of satellites and onboard equipment to managing the vehicles in orbit and providing data and services based on them
